Children have rights is the key stone for the Women’s Consortium of Ukraine, an umbrella organisation for mainly women’s non-governmental organisations in Ukraine. The organisation is involved in drafting the alternative report to the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child. They promote the idea of gender equality and protect children’s rights. Most of them perform their work in the field of education, human rights protection, science, culture and environment for Ukrainian communities at local, regional, national and international levels.
Bullying and other violence in schools is the issue of the project Violence Prevention in Ukraine, in which Save the Children Sweden Europe Programme and the Women’s Consortium of Ukraine cooperates. This will be done through education, information, training and support of professionals, so they can discuss and work with children to prevent bullying.
